London Marathon 2024: Celebrity Running Times
Aching legs abound today following yesterday's spectacle as over 50,000 runners embarked on the 2024 London Marathon journey from Greenwich. Among the diverse throng, comprising Olympic athletes and ordinary individuals seeking to conquer the daunting 26.2-mile distance, were several notable celebrities.
Curiosity lingered: Who among the famous faces proved the fastest?
McFly's Harry Judd emerged as the swiftest celebrity on the course, clocking in at an impressive 3 hours, 23 minutes, and 40 seconds. The 38-year-old singer tackled the marathon in support of The Children's Trust, a charity aiding children with brain injuries.
Close behind, singer Tom Grennan crossed the finish line in 3 hours, 45 minutes, and 39 seconds, championing housing and homelessness charity Shelter.
Former Tory MP and "I'm A Celebrity" participant Matt Hancock followed suit, completing the race in 3 hours, 55 minutes, and 37 seconds. Radio presenter Jenni Falconer trailed, achieving a time of 4 hours, 15 minutes, and 44 seconds.
"Luther" actor Ruth Wilson, running for Alzheimer's Research UK, concluded her marathon journey in 4 hours, 54 minutes, and 26 seconds. Christopher Eccleston, known for his role in "Doctor Who," followed with a time of 5 hours, 21 minutes, and 50 seconds, supporting The Big Issue.
Lastly, a special mention to "The Masked Singer" host and comedian Joel Dommett, who navigated the course in a piranha suit, crossing the finish line in 5 hours, 19 minutes, and 19 seconds. Undoubtedly, it was quite a sweaty endeavor!
